Athena's mission is to redefine female-focused fitness and build community through education about what it means to love our bodies and live our best lives. Our team is essential to that mission, bringing passion, and individual experience to every moment.

Terry Vanderpham

Terry was born and raised in Seattle and moved to Olympia after living overseas with her husband and two kids, who were both born abroad. Since her first yoga class over 20 years ago, she has found the practice to be her constant centering and has always been drawn to helping others achieve the calm and peace she derives from yoga. 

 

Also a culinary instructor, Terry believes in nourishing your whole self so that you may continue to grow and live your best life. She wants you to come back to mindfulness, nutrition, and movement so you can nourish your body, mind, and soul.  

 

She is passionate about food and showing everyone they can create a nourishing meal, regardless of their skill level in the kitchen. 

 

She is wildly happy about this incredible life she gets to live, her family, and the friendships she has made along the way. She is always looking to learn more about the world and how to be (and teach her kids how to be) a better human.

 

She feels most confident in the kitchen and loves to share her love of food with others. 

 

She is terrified of rats and regrets!

 

She never grows old of being on the water and the way it soothes her soul, sunsets and moonrises, and all the beautiful things you find in nature. 

 

She is inspired by people going out of their way to help others.
