Benefits of Salt Therapy

Halotherapy (halo is Greek for salt), also known as Salt Therapy, is a wellness tool that offers far more than relaxation.

Halthotherapy stems from from speleotherapy (cave therapy), which was started in Poland where workers exhibited fewer respiratory illnesses.  Now, there are thousands of halotherapy rooms simulating this effect.

During a salt therapy session, a device called a Halogenerator regulates the amount of microparticles of salt in the air.  As you breathe, the salt which is antimicrobial and antibacterial, supports lung function.  People who may benefit from this includes those with asthma, allergies, other chronic lung conditions, and those who workout, going pre-workout to expand lung function and post-workout to support recovery. Halotherapy may also be good for skin conditions like eczema, acne, and psoriasis.

Salt therapy is also a form of grounding.  In our modern world we are exposed to many electromagnetic frequencies that disrupt our body at the cellular level.  These EMFs, like WIFI or other forms of radiation- 3G, 4G, 5G, are considered carcinogenic to humans.  All of these are positively charged.  Salt is negatively charged. It's believed that when we immerse ourselves in Halotherapy we are neutralizing these charges and healing our body at the cellular level.

Another benefit to Halotherapy is the opportunity to be still, relax, and reflect.  The calming music, warm glow, and comfortable chairs present an opportunity to rest and take time out of your busy day.
