Massage Therapy with Melissa

You Are a Priority, live like it’s true.

Massage therapy is an amazing tool that can help you feel more connected to your body, bring healing to injuries, find motion back where things are stuck, and remind your body how to relax and release stress.

With over 2 decades of experience in massage therapy, including time spent in spas, gyms, numerous chiropractic offices, and even a hair salon, Melissa has extensive knowledge of how bodies function and an ability to intuitively connect to her clients to hear from their body what they need and how she can support them.

Melissa is skilled in injury treatment and deep tissue massage, sports, and swedish massage and combines them with craniosacral to tune into what the body wants to communicate and reassure the nervous system that healing is safe and accessible.

Craniosacral Massage

Craniosacral massage is light touch work that has a big impact with benefits that include: reduction in pain, a decrease of digestive troubles, settling of mood shifts, stress, tension, and fight/flight tendencies. CSM can improve connection, healing, nervous system reactivity, and more.

If you’re used to deep tissue massage, craniosacral massage can feel like there’s nothing happening, but it’s quite the opposite. Slowing down, tuning in, and letting your nervous system and body experience relaxation and rest.

Benefits of Massage

Melissa’s clients come to her for support with disconnect from body, TMJ/jaw issues, headaches, neck pain, overstimulated or dysregulated nervous system, stress management, and to remind their body of how it feels to rest, access it again. Others seek massage from Melissa out of curiosity or because they’re sensitive to deep tissue or heavy-touch massage.

What people are saying about massage with Melissa:

"Melissa is an INCREDIBLE massage and craniosacral therapist. I came to her in SO much pain- a type I’d been in previously that hadn’t been helped much by regular massage. She has amazing intuition and is very skilled at craniosacral- it did more good in one session than any other type of massage had been able to do. She is also extreme knowledgeable about the nervous system, which was the root of my struggle. With those two things combined she helped me make a full recovery and learn a lot about how to avoid the situation I was in in the future. I would 1000% recommend her to anyone and do!!"

"Melissa is always so in tune with what my body needs! Her services are hoalistic and go above craniosacral massage. She is the only massage therapist I can see knowing she will help my body rather than hurt it. I look forward to every session and highly recommend her to anyone, but particularly to those with chronic conditions!"

"Melissa has helped so much with my pain! I had never experienced crainosacral massage before, but the first time I saw her it felt like she just read my body and knew exactly what to do. I’ve been a client of hers for almost a year now and my body hasn’t felt better in years. I’m a server and bartender and have been living with shoulder and back pain for a while, but Melissa has helped my body heal so much and given me a lot of relief. I’m also currently pregnant now, and she has been very careful and considerate with my changing body and I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend Melissa!!"

Hi, I’m Melissa!

My years as a Massage Therapist and Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner have given me valuable insight into common patterns of dysfunction with food and our bodies, plus intuitive ways of hearing what the body is trying to communicate.

I help my clients connect to their bodies with therapeutic touch and inquiry, giving them the confidence to move their bodies, care for themselves and invite healing in.

I'm a mother and wife, lover of the outdoors who relishes waking up in the woods and can't stop staring at the sky, a light gardener, an avid reader, a rock collector, and I continue to grow as a cook. A diagnosis of celiac disease shook things up for me in 2016, and now I aim to use what I've learned while accepting and managing life with an autoimmune disease, to help others.
